Strategic Planning

What is strategic planning? Is it just for the Fletchers, Toyotas and Reuters of this world, or is it for small businesses too?

We think it's useful irrespective of the size of business.

Strategic planning is about identifying where you want your business to be at an identified point in the future, and how you are going to go about getting there, along a timeline. You may well get to that point by following a less defined course of action, but it might take you 10 years to get to that same point that you could have got to in 5 years, had you shaped a deliberate course of action.

The most common reason for developing a strategic plan is the aspiration for growth. But planning could also be needed in response to changes in business practice, the economy, the environment or your own personal lifestyle needs. Or it could be to protect against future competitive forces. So planning could be needed in response to positive or negative factors.

It's not always easy to work in your business as well as on it.  We can help.  We will work with you to develop a strategic plan that outlines where you want your business to be in a given time frame, what your objectives are, and how you are going to go about achieving them.
